Camping in Whitby? Why not?

As long as you don't have a fracture! As I could not go with the rest of the family during that adventure, I have gathered their thoughts: 1. Did you enjoy it? A unanimous big yes! 2. What places did you visit other than Whitby? A: the obligatory Robin Hood's Bay (as my husband and tow daughters were all born in Nottingham), Staithes and Runswick Bay. 3. Did you find any fossils in Robin Hood's Bay? A: not as many as last time (when my first born started a collection six years ago) 4. What was the weather like in the North of England? A: We were rather lucky, the first and third nights were really cold and it was windy at times, hence the purchase of a new wind breaker. Hardly any rain otherwise. 5. did you visit the iconic ruined abbey? A: No unfortunately as they now charge £17 for each adult. We just looked from outside. 6. How did crabbing go? A: The water is really tidal like in North Devon, but crabbing remains possible in low tide in Whitby harbour. We fished 20 crab...
